How to Choose an AI Vedic Astrology App
A plain guide to AI Pandit and AI astrologer apps, and what to check before you pay
Updated
AI Pandit and AI astrologer apps have multiplied, and they work in quite different ways. This guide explains the main types, what to check for accuracy, billing and privacy, and — so you can compare like for like — exactly what Navagraha offers. We make Navagraha; this page describes types of service in general and does not review or rank any other company’s product.
The main types of AI astrology app
| Type | How it works | Your chart | Typical billing | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| General AI chatbots | You describe your birth details and the chatbot answers from general knowledge | Usually not calculated with an ephemeris, so positions can be wrong | Free or the chatbot’s own subscription | Learning concepts; not reliable for your own chart |
| AI astrologer call/chat apps | Talk to an AI “astrologer” persona by chat or call | Varies; check that the app shows your Lagna, nakshatra and dasha | Often per minute after a free first session | Occasional short consultations |
| Subscription AI astrology apps | A calculated chart plus an AI assistant inside one app | Usually calculated; check which ayanamsa is used | Small free allowance, then a monthly or yearly plan | Regular questions over time |
| Pay-per-question services | Buy credits and spend one per question or report | Varies | Credits, no subscription | A few specific questions |
These are general patterns; individual apps differ. Always check an app’s own terms and pricing before paying.
Six things to check before you choose
1. Is your chart actually calculated?
Ask the app for your Lagna (ascendant), Moon nakshatra and pada, and current Vimshottari dasha, and compare them with a trusted calculator such as our free Kundli tool. Accurate software computes positions with an astronomical ephemeris (the Swiss Ephemeris is the standard) before any AI interprets them.
2. Which ayanamsa and conventions?
Most Indian astrologers use the Lahiri ayanamsa. An app that states its ayanamsa, node type and house system lets you compare its results with your family pandit’s chart.
3. How is the AI billed?
Per-minute billing can add up in long conversations; a daily free allowance or a flat plan is easier to predict. Look for the price before you start, and how to cancel.
4. Language and voice
If you prefer Hindi or a regional language, test a question in it — by voice as well as text — before subscribing.
5. Privacy
Birth date, time and place are personal data. Check the privacy policy: whether data is sold or shared, where it is stored, and whether you can delete your account.
6. Responsible guidance
Astrology is for reflection, not certainty. Be cautious of any app that predicts disasters, pressures you into costly remedies, or offers medical, legal or financial instructions.

Frequently asked questions
How do I choose an AI Vedic astrology app?
Check that it calculates your chart with an astronomical ephemeris and states its ayanamsa, that its billing is clear (per minute, credits or subscription), that it supports your language, that its privacy policy lets you delete your data, and that it avoids fear-based predictions.
Is there a free AI Pandit app?
Navagraha gives 3 free AI Pandit questions every day, plus a free Kundli, Kundli matching, Panchang and calculators, in any browser with no download. Premium is ₹199 a month or ₹999 a year in India for unlimited chats.
Can a general AI chatbot make my Kundli?
General chatbots can explain astrology, but they often miscalculate planetary positions when asked to make a chart. For an accurate Kundli, use software that computes the chart with an ephemeris, then ask an AI about those exact positions.
What should an AI astrology app not do?
It should not predict disasters to frighten you, push expensive remedies, or give medical, legal or financial instructions. Astrology is best used for reflection alongside professional advice where it matters.
