Rashifal 2027

Vedic yearly horoscope for every Moon sign

Updated

This is the Vedic (sidereal, Lahiri) rashifal for 2027, written for the twelve Moon signs. In Jyotish your rashi is the sign the Moon occupied at birth, and the yearly forecast is read by counting the houses that the slow planets occupy from that sign, a method called gochara or transit reading. All dates on these pages are in Indian Standard Time and come from an ephemeris calculation, so they may differ by a day from a printed panchang that uses a different convention. Because the sidereal zodiac sits about 24 degrees behind the tropical one, your Vedic Moon sign is usually different from the Sun sign you read in Western horoscopes.

Saturn is the headline planet of 2027. It spends the first five months in Pisces, where it has been since 29 March 2025, and enters Aries on 3 June 2027. Aries is the sign where Saturn is traditionally called debilitated, so the sign change is a notable event in many almanacs. Saturn does not stay: it turns retrograde and slips back into Pisces on 20 October 2027, and only re-enters Aries for good on 23 February 2028. In practice this makes 2027 a year of rehearsal for the next phase of Sade Sati, rather than a clean break on a single date.

Because of this, the Sade Sati picture shifts through the year. Aquarius Moons are in the closing phase until 23 February 2028, with a short interval between 3 June and 20 October when Saturn stands in their third house. Pisces Moons are in the peak phase until 3 June, in the closing phase while Saturn is in Aries, and back in the peak phase from 20 October. Aries Moons are in the rising phase until 3 June, in the peak phase until 20 October, and rising again afterwards. Taurus Moons feel the first touch of Sade Sati between 3 June and 20 October, with the full start only on 23 February 2028. The smaller Saturn periods called dhaiya (Saturn in the 4th or 8th from the Moon) affect Leo and Sagittarius Moons until 3 June and again from 20 October, and Virgo and Capricorn Moons from 3 June to 20 October.

Jupiter moves four times in the year. It begins 2027 in Leo, goes retrograde back into Cancer on 25 January (where it is exalted) and stays there until 26 June, returns to Leo until 26 November, and then enters Virgo, where it finishes the year. Jupiter is the planet of growth, learning, children, teachers and good counsel, so the houses it visits tend to be the areas that feel more supported. Rahu stays in Capricorn all year, with Ketu opposite in Cancer, after Rahu entered Capricorn on 6 December 2026. The nodes bring an unusual, hungry, worldly quality to the houses they touch. Mars moves quickly through Leo, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius and Capricorn, supplying shorter bursts of energy and friction; its dates are listed on each sign page.

A word on method and limits. A yearly forecast by Moon sign is a broad weather report. It treats millions of people with the same Moon sign as if they were in the same situation, which they are not. The birth chart, the running Vimshottari dasha and antardasha, the houses in your natal chart that these transits actually touch, and your own choices carry more weight than any generalisation. Traditional astrologers use gochara as a background layer, to time what the dasha already promises. Nothing here is a guarantee, a medical, legal or financial opinion, or a reason to postpone ordinary decisions. Frequently asked questions

What are the main planetary transits in 2027 in Vedic astrology?

Saturn enters Aries on 3 June 2027 and returns to Pisces on 20 October. Jupiter moves from Leo to Cancer on 25 January, back to Leo on 26 June, and into Virgo on 26 November. Rahu stays in Capricorn and Ketu in Cancer all year. Mars passes through eight signs, ending in Capricorn on 27 December. These are sidereal (Lahiri) positions in IST.

When does Saturn enter Aries in 2027?

Saturn enters sidereal Aries on 3 June 2027 (IST). It turns retrograde and returns to Pisces on 20 October 2027, then re-enters Aries on 23 February 2028. Because Saturn is debilitated in Aries, many traditional almanacs mark this as a significant change, though the personal result depends on your own chart and dasha rather than on the sign change alone.

Which Moon signs have Sade Sati in 2027?

Aquarius, Pisces and Aries Moons have Sade Sati through 2027, in the closing, peak and rising phases respectively, and Taurus Moons have a brief first touch between 3 June and 20 October. Dhaiya affects Leo and Sagittarius Moons before 3 June and after 20 October, and Virgo and Capricorn Moons between those dates.

When does Jupiter enter Virgo in 2027?

Jupiter enters Virgo on 26 November 2027 (IST) and stays there for the rest of the year. Before that it returns to Cancer on 25 January and to Leo on 26 June. Which houses this lights up depends on your Moon sign, and the individual pages show the house count for each rashi.

Is the Vedic horoscope for 2027 the same as the Western one?

No. Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac with the Lahiri ayanamsa, which sits roughly 24 degrees behind the tropical zodiac. Most people therefore have a different Moon sign, and a different Sun sign, from the one in a Western horoscope. Vedic forecasts also count transits from the Moon sign and weigh them against the running dasha.
