Punarvasu is the 7th of the 27 nakshatras (lunar mansions) in Vedic astrology, spanning 80° to 93.333° sidereal in Mithuna (Gemini) and Karka (Cancer). It is ruled by Jupiter, presided over by the deity Aditi, and its symbol is the bow / quiver.

Punarvasu means "the return of the light" or "good again" (punar, again, and vasu, good or wealth). Its deity is Aditi, the boundless mother of the gods, whose name means "without limit" or "that which cannot be bound".
